Are you flexible, "think outside the box", and have the ability to build relationships and provide outstanding service to clients as well as external and internal customers? Are you persuasive by nature, but assertive and adept in obtaining new clients and having the ability to close the deal?

The Catering Sales and Events Manager is responsible for effectively selling banquet/event space, food and beverage, and function planning services for a variety of social events, including weddings, fundraisers, birthdays, and other special programs.Excellent Salary and Benefits

JOB REQIREMENTS:
  • Target results-oriented, high revenue, sales calls to ensure a successful direct sales program in accordance with established goals and objectives.

  • Sell catering services to all potential consumers

  • Establish new accounts

  • Maximize yield management opportunities

  • Maintain consistent verbal and written communications with clients

  • Maximizeexisting key accounts by identifying and capturing those that offer revenue growth

  • Solicit referralsfromexistingaccounts

  • Conduct onsite and field presentations to prospective customers

  • Help to manage the expectations of the brides

  • Sales and Events experience

  • Min 2+ years of wedding and social catering experience

  • Must be willing to work some weekends and holidays based on business needs

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Outlook


    • IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Proven track record of developing long-term client relationships and coworkers

  • Solid knowledge of sales principles, techniques, industry practices, and prospecting activities common to the hospitality industry

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales goals by effectivelynegotiating and closing business

  • Ability to identify, target new accounts, and sell concepts and ideas to customers, management and peers

  • Knowledge of cost control measures (i.e. labor, food and beverage, and materials) involved with events and meetings

  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and computer

  • Ability to create and deliver professional, quality presentations in front of groups

  • Effective time management and organization skills
